Tower Theater, Houston, TX
So, the spreadsheet is missing the first set of this show… as such, so is phishtracks and the Aquarium Project. These have been my sources for this project. Now is as good a time as any to give the kind folks behind these projects a shout out. Without them a blog like mine would be far more difficult to accomplish.
So, I am listening to Set 2 while I try to get out from under the hundreds of emails that have accumulated while I was in NOLA for Jazzfest. We’ll see how focused on the music I can actually be. Hopefully, tomorrow will be an easier day, as I cannot wait to get to the Bomb Factory show!!
First thing that really stood out was the Reba. Love a second set Reba, and this one does not disappoint. Then the Julius (if you’ve been following along, you know I’m going to comment on Julius) is really great. Rockin’ jam that peaks with fire!
Bike, I happen to know, is one of Fish’s favorites to come out front and sing. He’s the biggest Syd Barret fan you’re likely to meet. Finally, the Bowie sends everyone home on a high note.
It’s crazy to me that this tame show is just one night prior to the Bomb Factory show. That’s the context? That’s what led up to the most epic Tweezerfest ever? “WOW,” is all I can say.
Until tomorrow… Thanks for reading!
